Description

With Melker Värmdö we introduce our next generation lightweight, high-performance, and plant-based construction in a really comfy, and playful light touring & recreational kayak.
The Värmdö is targeted for savvy performance paddlers and the more recreational "la dolce vita paddlers” who wants to feel like rockstars on the water (still being able to easily toss it up on the roof rack post paddling).
Sleek, forgiving, and stable for new paddlers to learn, with performance characteristics, predictability and endless play time for surf, roll, carve, and rock gardening.
The kayak comes with the all-new premium seat with exceptional comfort and easy sit-in adjustability. The seat also comes in three different sizes ( S / M / L ) which makes it possible to tailor the cockpit experience for every variety and size of the paddler.
The adjustable and rope operated skeg allows for true tracking in even the most challenging waters. The Värmdö is delivered rudder-ready (rudder kits are sold separately).
Melker Värmdö also packs well enough for your light overnight adventures, including a large inside cockpit storage with an easy access 8,5” click-on cover.

Production process & materials

Melker Värmdö is designed and developed in Sweden with Melker's proprietary plant-based, durable, and feather-light technology which revolutionizes the industry and helps protect the waters and environment we all love.

Melker's all-natural, sustainable and high-performance construction combines partly plant-based resin and gel coat with flax fibres and a solid cork core, which allows our kayaks to achieve the highest possible mechanical properties.
Cork-Core is our most lightweight and even more sustainable sandwich layup with cork-core, flax in the deck, GreenPoxy resin, and GreenCoat.
Produced with premium quality resins, gel coat, fibers, and core materials using vacuum infusion and heat cure process.
